Common Questions
Does every worn hardwood floor need full sanding?
No. Floors with surface wear but no deep damage may qualify for Screen & Recoat. Floors with failed finish, deep scratches, severe color change or exposed wood may require full sanding.
Can you quote the project from photographs?
Often, yes. Clear photos or video plus approximate square footage can help us understand the floor and provide a starting quote. Some conditions still require an in-home evaluation.
Can engineered hardwood be refinished?
Some engineered hardwood can be screened and recoated, and certain products can be sanded. The wear layer, existing finish and floor condition must be evaluated first.
What if my floor has Rejuvenate, Mop & Glo or another polish?
Those coatings may interfere with adhesion and can require specialty removal. We evaluate the contamination before recommending refinishing.
How long does the work take?
Timing depends on square footage, condition and service. Some screen-and-recoat projects can be completed in one day, while full sanding normally requires a longer schedule.
