Cleaner residue
Too much cleaner or improper products can leave a film that scatters light and makes the floor look hazy.
Finish wear
When polyurethane is microscratched or worn, ordinary mopping cannot rebuild the protective layer.
Polish buildup
Acrylic products can become cloudy, trap dirt and create a dull or streaky appearance above the original finish.
Natural sheen
Satin finishes are intentionally less reflective than gloss. A healthy satin floor should not be expected to look mirror-like.
